Drawing on her extensive educational and professional background in art, art history and design, Elise Morrissey has over seventeen years of experience in creating contemporary designs grounded in classical aesthetics. A graduate of the New York School of Interior Design, where she now mentors students, Elise has worked for David Easton Interiors and spent six years as a head designer for Mariette Himes Gomez, frequently cited as one of Architectural Digest's Top 100 Designers. Prior to focusing on interior design, Elise cultivated her interest in art and antiques working at the galleries of Didier Aaron, Inc. and Barry Friedman, Ltd. Born and raised outside of Boston, Elise is an alumna of the Dana Hall School and Boston College, where she majored in Art History and English and spent a semester in Florence, Italy, studying art and architecture. Elise has traveled extensively and draws many of her interior inspirations from abroad. She currently resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with her husband, where she completed the renovation of their apartment.
Educated and trained in both architecture and interior design, Elizabeth Brush Saypol draws on her experience in both fields to create tailored and harmonious interiors built upon clients' tastes and the practical needs for each space. A cum laude graduate of Princeton University, where she majored in Architecture, Liz practiced as an apprentice architect for Hilton-VanderHorn, a residential architecture firm in Greenwich, Connecticut. As an interior designer, Liz spent nearly five years working for Mariette Himes Gomez in New York City and has a degree from the New York School of Interior Design. Originally from Larchmont, New York, Liz is an alumna of Greenwich Academy, where she first discovered her love of painting and drawing. She currently lives in Stamford, Connecticut, with her husband and two children, where she recently completed the renovations of her circa 1807 Georgian Colonial home.
In 2010, Elise and Liz combined their talent, vision, and experience to establish Morrissey Saypol Interiors, a full-service, client-focused interior design firm. With over 30 combined years of experience in the design industry, their partnership and methods are enhanced by the balance of their strengths and talents. They have completed projects nationwide, including New York City, North Palm Beach, and Cape Cod. They are currently working on a home in CAPE COd, MA, and several projects in Connecticut.
